My stay at the Hyatt was quite a mixed bag. On one hand, the location was absolutely perfect for accessing the city center, making it easy to walk everywhere. The service from the staff was commendable, and they were quite attentive. However, the quality of the dining experience didn't meet expectations, and I found the facilities could use some improvement. Overall, it felt like a good value for central Birmingham, but some aspects fell short of being ideal.
Rooms

The room was quite nice overall, though the amenities could have been cleaner, as I found a cup with what looked like dried oats inside. I appreciated the spaciousness, though.

Staff were very attentive and courteous, especially the reception manager who helped with a late check-in request. However, some basic amenities like replenishing toiletries were overlooked.

The cleanliness and luxurious feel of the rooms were impressive, though the bathroom could use some updates. The dining experience was strong with quality options, but the service during breakfast was a bit slow. Overall, it’s a great choice for relaxation with a nice spa, but some minor improvements could elevate the experience further.

My stay at the Hyatt was quite disappointing. I faced several service issues that affected my overall experience. While the location offers easy access to major attractions and the view was impressive, the treatment I received from staff and the lack of attention to detail in service really let the hotel down.

6.0/10
The hotel has a convenient location near central Birmingham and offers quick access to major attractions, though the ongoing construction makes navigating a bit tricky. While the rooms are decent, I found the bathroom lacking in functionality and overall safety, which was quite disappointing for the price. The breakfast options were the same each day, which felt repetitive and underwhelming. On the plus side, the staff at reception was pleasant and the concierge service was truly helpful.
Rooms
6.0
The room was okay, but the bathroom had issues with water leakage and safety. The size was smaller than expected.
Service
6.0
Service felt lacking, especially at breakfast where it was hard to grab staff's attention, although the concierge was very helpful.
Location
7.0
The hotel is well-located for accessing the city but construction made it slightly inconvenient to navigate.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was standard and boring, offered the same options every day without any variety.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area and spa could use some updates; the steam room was cold and the facilities didn’t match the photos presented online.

7.0/10
I had a decent stay at the Hyatt Regency, with some enjoyable aspects like the spacious spa facilities and great breakfast, but there were some drawbacks such as the noisy air conditioning and limited in-room entertainment options. The location was a bit tricky to navigate due to construction, which wasn't ideal, but overall, the experience provided reasonable value for money.
Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in on the 17th floor was spacious with lovely views. It had everything I needed, though one of the cups was not clean, which was disappointing. The shower was great, and the pillows were actually comfy for a hotel.
Service
7.0
The service was mostly good, especially with the duty manager stepping in to help during check-in. However, it was a bit frustrating to get a late-night check from the receptionist about my room.
Location
6.0
The hotel is centrally located, but current construction made it difficult to find the entrance, which was a hassle. Once inside, everything I needed was within walking distance.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was quite enjoyable and affordable, with a nice variety, though some items could have been served hotter. The coffee wasn't great, which could be improved.
Facilities
8.0
The spa facilities were a significant highlight, providing a relaxing experience. However, the in-room entertainment left much to be desired as the TV options were limited due to high internet usage.
